—Our Story

We started with
a belief.

It grew into
a forest.

Pure and Natural

MEYUSH was born at the edge of the Sundarbans — the world's largest mangrove forest — with one conviction: the people who grow your food deserve to be paid fairly, always.

THE BELIEF

"We didn't start a tea company.
We started a
commitment —    to the land,
and to the people on it."

The wellness industry is full of beautiful packaging and vague promises. Somewhere between the farm and the shelf, the actual story — the soil, the hands, the families — gets quietly edited out. We built MEYUSH because we believed something different was possible.

Every product we make has a traceable origin. Every farmer we work with has a name. Every percentage we pay is fixed, transparent, and above market rate — not because a certification requires it, but because it's the only way we know how to do business.

We are based in Sonarpur, Kolkata — a few kilometres from where the land shifts from cultivated fields to ancient mangrove forest. That proximity is not incidental. It is everything.

The commitment that started everything

When we launched MEYUSH, we made a single, non-negotiable decision: 40% of every sale goes directly to our farming families. Not as a charity model. Not as a marketing strategy. As a fundamental principle of what fair trade should actually mean.

The standard market rate is a fraction of this. We pay more because the people who grow your tea with their hands, their knowledge, and their land deserve more. When you buy MEYUSH, you are not just purchasing a product. You are choosing which kind of world you want your money to build.

"We want to tell you something we wish more brands would say out loud."

We grew up near the Sundarbans. We watched farming families work extraordinary land with extraordinary care — and receive very little in return for it. The middlemen took their share, the corporations took theirs, and the people who actually grew things were left with margins that made their work feel invisible.

We built MEYUSH to make that visible.

When you buy one of our teas, you're not just getting an organic herbal infusion. You're participating in a model that we believe the food and wellness industry needs more of: direct, transparent, farmer-first trade. Where the people closest to the land get the most from it.

The 40% figure surprises people. It shouldn't have to. We're proud of it — but our goal is to make it unremarkable, by showing that it's possible.

Thank you for being part of this. Every order genuinely matters to a real family, in a real place, that is deeply extraordinary.

With gratitude,
The MEYUSH Team
